Norwich Branch courses
On-line delivery Spring term 2021
We are pleased to tell you that Norwich Branch WEA will continue to offer a programme of short and longer on-line courses during the Autumn 2020 and Spring 2021. Many of our wonderful tutors have undertaken professional training to develop their courses as inter-active and online. For a preview of proposed course see under courses on this website.
Update on Learning with Norwich WEA during the Covid-19 pandemic
I hope you have discovered that both National and Norwich Branch WEA courses continue to be offered online and there are a large range of courses available to join. These can be booked online or by telephone, and you will be able to receive them via zoom if you have a lap-top, a PC, a tablet or a smartphone. Courses will still be kept to a sociable level so that you will be able to chat (virtually) to the tutor and fellow students. All the tutors have been specially trained to teach on-line in order to deliver interesting and engaging classes.
TO enrol- Note the course identification; click here to enrol on-line ; or call 0300 303 3464 Remember to have the course number and payment debit/credit card to hand. The telephone line can be quite busy just before the start of a new term, so please be patient (or book early!)
Look forward to seeing you - on screen - in the Spring
More information about the 'traditional' WEA programme
The Norwich Branch Committee has regretfully come to the decision to postpone all our face-to-face courses and day schools for Autumn 2020 and Spring 2021. It is our hope that the programme we planned - which is full of interesting and new learning - will be available the following academic year 2021/22. The cancelled 2020 Summer Programme of courses, day schools and visits will - we hope - be available in the summer of 2021, something to look forward to.
Following ongoing discussion with Regional Office we have decided not to offer any face to face options; if the situation changes we will be very pleased to return to the Kings Centre and our usual sociable and enjoyable programme of courses and day schools. we will keep you informed through this website.
Meanwhile - the Norwich Branch Committee would like to thank all of our students for their enthusiasm and loyalty over many years - and we very much look forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future
