Nina Hamnet was called the Queen of Bohemia and Fitzrovia. Her controversial behaviour made her a legend in her own lifetime. A star of Montparnasse and Fitzrovia, she was immortalised by her own paintings as well as those by others like Walter Sickert and Roger Fry. Henri Gaudier-Brzeska was a close friend and she was a model for a number of his sculptures. Her partnership with the Bloomsbury Group and the Omega Workshops also added to her fame. Relatively unknown now, her story is the subject of this fascinating day school.
